Women, Infants & Children (WIC) at Community Medical Group
Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a federally funded nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to the age of 5. WIC provides: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care at no cost to you.

Housing (Section 8) at Community Medical Group
The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a federally funded rental program that helps low-income families, the elderly and the disabled afford decent, safe and sanitary housing. The program allows tenants to choose their unit in the private housing market. Eligible participants are allowed to lease any unit that meets program requirements. Participants usually pay about 30% of the rent and the landlord receives the difference.

Immigration, Residency & Citizenship at Community Medical Group
Community Medical Group works with local, state and federal agencies to help eligible individuals apply for work permits, TPS (temporary permanent status), DED (deferred enforced departure, for Venezuela), Residency or U.S. Citizenship.

Social Security Referrals at Community Medical Group
As part your ACCESS application, Community Medical Group’s experienced staff will provide you with Social Security referrals to obtain your social security card, if eligible. Our experienced staff will also help you read and interpret social security communication letters, regarding Social Supplemental Income (SSI), Medicare benefits, and more.

Referrals to Workforce at Community Medical Group
The First Source Hiring Referral Program (FSHRP) is a job creation and economic development model that is designed to help residents of Miami-Dade County find employment. The initiative seeks to ensure Miami-Dade residents have the first opportunity for employment consideration from businesses that receive a contract from the County.

Refugee Assistance Program at Community Medical Group
Refugee Services is a State program that coordinates and oversees many of the services provided to refugees and entrants into Florida, which can help them become economically self-sufficient. Refugee Services assists newly-arrived, eligible clients in obtaining employment, learning English, acquiring job skills and overcoming legal or medical difficulties.

Volunteer Agencies (VOLAG) at Community Medical Group
Community Medical Group and its Social Services Department work in partnership with the voluntary agencies, providing services to refugees, asylees, Cuban/Haitian entrants, victims of human trafficking, and unaccompanied alien children. Together, we provide social and health services, such as assistance in applying for Economic Self-Sufficiency benefits, social security referrals, training and work referrals, health guidance and initial medical screenings. The aim is to help this population become self-sufficient as soon as possible and become contributing members in their society.
STS (Special Transportation Service) Program at Community Medical Group
STS is a shared-ride public transportation service of Miami-Dade County in compliance with the complementary paratransit service provisions of the Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA) of 1990. STS offers door-to-door transportation service from the main entrance of pick-up to the main entrance of drop-off locations.

Parking for Disabled Persons at Community Medical Group
Disabled person parking permits are given to people who are medically certified to have long-term, permanent or temporary mobility impairment, or who are certified legally blind or temporarily sight-impaired.

ELC (Early Learning Coalition)
Community Medical Group works in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition, offering all their services, school readiness and assessment, voluntary Pre-K and Early Head Start. These programs are intended to serve as a preventive measure for children at risk of future school failure.
